Sara - thanks so much, and welcome!

Hillary - Thanks! As for the physical meal plan, I guess my answer is yes and no... I take notes during the week about dishes I might want to make or ingredients that I'm interested in working with, and I sort of loosely plan out what I want to cook on what nights. I then make my shopping list and go from there. This is what my notes for this past week looked like.

erik - I know, right? :D

Terry - Thank you! I probably would have used veg stock if we had some, but I haven't made any in a while, so chicken stock it was. And I agree it does have more flavor, generally, than veg stock. :)

I think your version sounds better, Jennifer, and I'm not just saying that to suck up. You're totally right about starting with the onions, garlic and seasonings first. And I'm sure your chicken stock blew right past vegetable stock. It just does.

That does sound like a rockstar recipe. I'm wondering, do you physically write out a meal plan each week? You do do a very good job of making a variety of dishes each week.
