Anita - I just polished off the last of the leftover grits for breakfast. :)

Mary - HA HA!

Claudia - Is that legal in Tennessee? ;)

melanie - Oh, that's awesome! We will have plenty of space on our private patio for container gardening, and we're looking into doing raised beds as well. There are wild blueberries in the common area of the backyard and we are also permitted to garden there. The Community Garden sounds fantastic, though!

i'm not sure if you're a gardener, but i know you love fresh produce. My parents live in Providence (near Brown) and have a plot in the Fox Point Community Garden. It's quite a site to see at it's fruitful peak and a true transformation of a empty dirt lot. There's a web site, but not too much info: http://foxpoint.garden.googlepages.com/home

if you're interested in getting involved, let me know and I'll put you in touch with my Mom! Good luck with the move!

OMG, those grits look divine....

I hope you don't get hate mail for posting a chicken beheading... it seemed like every oversensitive college freshman in the world found my blog after our chicken-stock post and the vitriol was astounding.

I actually enjoy the process of emptying the freezer before a move; it's like a giant puzzle. If I can get rid of heavy pantry items at the same time, I feel like I am playing in the big leagues! :D
