Jen,

first let me say that I have been a fan of this website forever and have subscribed to it almost since it’s inception. It’s inspiring, beautiful to look at and there’s something rather comforting about it. After looking at these latest pictures and being in the market for really my first real camera (I’ve been using the poo poo Iphone camera and even the newest 3gs one makes no real difference) I have to ask ….which camera do you use. I’m 90% I’m going to buy the exact make and model. Thanks much!!!!

What a gorgeous farmer’s market you go to!

We have another week or two before tomatoes are ready in NJ–I’m chomping at the bit.

Max – Aw, thank you so much! I’ve been using a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H2 for the last few years now. It’s a great camera, but still a point-and-shoot, not a DSLR like most food bloggers are using these days. I hope I can get one of those someday soon . :)

Robin – I am totally in love with our farmers’ market. :D It’s perfect for lingering, which we do every week.

Oh, Momma! Roast, charred tomatoes…the best for sauce.

I think you’re doing just fine with yours and I’ll be making a trip to Best Buy in the next couple of weeks for sure….I know you want to upgrade and I can’t even imagine how much better your photos will be when you do so…..but I still think these are the best food photos that I’ve ever seen. I live on the upper east side of Manhattan and loved following you guys while you were in the metro too. To be able to take that and improve on it while moving to a more rural area takes AMAZING talent:) I have a food/booze blog too and I know your husband and you love cocktails (I subscribe to his blog as well) check it out when you get a chance…I’ve gotten in the habit of collecting rare spirits (Falernum, Amer Picon, Pimento Dram, Cocoa Leaf Liquor etc) they’ll be lots to love as time goes on….Check it out if you get a chance and thank you for picking out m camera for me

I was just working on a post about roasted salsa. Yours looks fantastic! I’d love to here more about it. Looks like, as usual, you had a delicious weekend. Thanks for sharing.

Your weekend updates always make me drool! If you have time, would you mind sharing your salsa recipe? I’ve been looking for a good one and I bet I would love yours!!

Marie – They really are – I love the smokiness and how sweet and caramelized they get :)

Max – I will definitely check out your site!

Elizabeth and Keri – Thanks! I hope to post more info about it soon :)
