Hi Amy – Welcome! I’m using a Sony DSC-H2 which I’ve had for a couple of years. It’s a point-and-shoot but it has done a pretty good job for me.

I just found this blog, b/c this is EXACTLY what I’ve been doing for the last month, taking pics of every meal I make (although not as stunningly beautiful as yours!). Anyway, I recently got into some food blogs, and I think I found you by blog hopping from Orangette?? Can I ask what kind of camera you use for those gorgeous pics? My family joined a CSA this spring, and are lucky enough to be within a very short drive, or even long walk, from a farmer’s market here in Missouri. I’ve been experimenting with all the delicious food, and expanding the possibilities by searching the never-ending list of foodie blogs, thanks for this one! It’s a keeper!

I’m not a foodie at all, but I love your website. I first found your site while on a google search for something new to do with quinoa and was immediately hooked. I love the beauty you find in your food everyday, the pleasure in the simplest ingredients. Makes me look at my food and the market with completely different eyes. Thanks!

I’m late again.

I’m Andrea, we’ve known each other for a good long while since the Delphi days and I think I’ve been reading since you started LND. I’m in London.

Reading about your care for ingredients and seasonality gave me a real kick in the rear to be more serious about what I buy – I’d go for seasonal and ethical/organic when I could, but wind up being tempted by other bits and bobs. You, and the “discovery” of Borough Market put me onto using local (or at least British) ingredients, really keeping up with the seasons and generally the importance of provenance – or if I’m going to be all European about it, terroir. Reading about your dinners means I’m more likely to get ideas from ingredients than from recipe books now. Your photos are gorgeous, and really add to the inspiration factor.

Earlier this week I put together a panzanella with sourdough, heirloom toms and the outer bit of a burrata because of your panzanella recipe a while back. all the ingredients came from the market, and I’d been waiting for the heirloom toms to come in.

Now that I’m about to embark on the single life again, I reckon weekly menu planning is going to become really important. It’s something I hadn’t even thought about for years until you put it back into my mind.

Basically, you rock. This is one of the two food blogs I visit on a regular basis.
